June 8,1991. Our first dance was to 'As The World Falls Down' by David Bowiefrom the movie Labyrinth. We took a few dancing classes so that wecould be in time with each other and look good.
June 9,2001. We didn't need a first dance. We all had a go at making foolsof ourselves with the Maypole.
It justgoes to show that a little Mead (Thanks Stewie) and too much food canreally play havoc on your sense of co-ordination.
Wedesperately needed a sense of timing. The mess that was being made ofthe Maypole was hilarious. We needed help. Mark steppedin.
It was'Drill Sergeant Maypole' from that point on. He gave one half of thegroup number one and the other half number two . He barked out whowas going over or under who. It did not take long from there to getthe Maypole perfect. Once the ribbons were as short as they could bethe group showed Mark their appreciation. They tied him to the pole.He doesn't seem to be upset. Hmmm...
