PartThree: Horses
June 8,1991. We had no horses.
June 9,2001. We had Rocky and Duma with JP and Melissa by their sides. Jimmyalso came to help out but we never got a picture of him in hisoutfit.
As Isaid on the last page: The only shame was that the horses had to beled in by their owners. Martin and I could have done so ourselves butthe insurance policy on the property and on the horses stated that wecouldn't. So Duma was led by JP and Rocky was lead byMelissa.
BUT....After the ceremony was over JP and Mel came with us to a little areaoff to the side and took a few steps back so that we could do a fewpics with just us.
As youcan see, the back of my dress covered Duma's butt. The number ofjokes about whether or not she was going to pull anything while I wasup there was incredible. Got to love your friends during theseromantic moments. ;-)
Justbefore the horses went into their trailer we chose to thank them byfeeding them apples. Rocky pulled the apple from Martin's hand andthrew it all over the place. What a mess. Duma simply chose to ignorethe apple I had for her. She refused to take it from me. JP tappedher on the head a few times to see if she was in there before shefinally ate the apple... One side at a time.
