Okay. So some of you think this may be morbid but I don't.David Evans was the best host I could have asked for. He let me tagalong to a few of his auditions and an acting class. He brought me tosome very unique and interesting places. We talked about architectureand structure. He was full of unique trivia and a wonderful sense ofhumour. He even introduced me to some lovely ladies who were involvedwith a production he worked on and Ray The Retoucher, where I got 500lithos (for the price of 300) done and my new agent raves that theyare the best she's ever seen. Best of all he brought me to two of thecemeteries I wanted to visit. I never got to the others but hey... Igot to a few of the best. Like here. The Hollywood Memorial Cometary. He had just come from an audition and was dressed very'ganster-like'. Just tooo precious. Douglas Fairbanks was incrediblein size and material choice (marble) and there were a number ofgraves that were Egyptian on the outside and Catholic on the inside.Wild. I also thought it was interesting that the Cometary backs outonto the Paramount Lot. Wonder if they have loads of ghost stories totell. We visited many of the famous graves but I want to save spaceso all the pics aren't here.
Ahhhh... Ms. Monroe. Her small space is still constantlybeing cleared of the flowers and notes people leave for her spirit'ssatisfaction. The attendants at the Westwood Cometary, apparently, have had to clean out the vase constantly. I peeked at the note stuckin the flowers, on this particular day, and it reads 'I love you. Nomatter where you are.' The handwriting was large and very childlikebut the sentiment is clear. Also near her tomb, is a small bench.Dedicated to her in 1992, it proves that many still think fondly ofher.
